TRI Europe is prepared to prove the mechanical properties of all geosynthetics, including high-strength products. TRI is the highest quality laboratory in this regard as we employ a variety of state-of-the-art tension testing clamps and measurement systems, including:

  • a 250 kN (1250 kN/m) capacity extented travel ZwickRoell Z250 SN tensiometer with testXpert III acquisition system
  • Demgen “Smart”-clamps with 1200 kN maximum clamping force, able to adjust gripping pressure based on the measured tension strength. These clamps adjust during testing to maximize the gripping pressure without damaging the material tested
  • Blue light class 1 optical extensometer with 640 mm measuring range coupled with moving crosshead
  • A dual-cell Testometric XFS 150 tensiometer with 25 kN and 150 kN load cells and 1400 mm travel range
  • A set of high pressure (up to 700 bar) hydraulic clamps for the 150 kN cell
  • Class 1 videoextensometer with 350 mm measuring range and 0,01 mm accuracy
  • A large range contact extensometer with replaceable needle or clip contact
  • A high strength hydraulic CBR clamp
  • A full assembly of cone drop, pyramid puncture and compression accessories
